Workspace Group Plc announced on Monday that chief executive Lawrence Hutchings is to leave the office operator after just 14 months in the role.
Hutchings, who joined as CEO in November 2024, will be replaced by Charlie Green, the former co-CEO and co-founder of flexible workspace business, The Office Group (now trading as Fora).
In a statement, chair Duncan Owen thanked Hutchings for his contribution. "He has led the team in defining and launching the Fix, Accelerate and Scale strategy which is delivering positive results. The board remains committed to this strategy and is confident the right foundations have been laid to rebuild operational performance."
Green, who is set to join Workspace as CEO on 2 February, co-founded TOG in 2003, leading the company through multiple investment cycles, including Blackstone's majority acquisition in 2017, and overseeing the merger with Fora in 2022.
He added: "We are delighted to welcome Charlie Green as our new chief executive. His deep expertise in growth strategies and operational performance ideally positions him to accelerate the execution of our existing strategy. "
The announcement comes just a month after Workspace announced a new chief financial officer designate, with Tom Edwards-Moss also set to join the company next month, succeeding Dave Benson who resigned last summer after five years at the company.
