Mission-critical software developer Alfa Financial Software Holdings Plc    said on Thursday that Andrew Dickson had been appointed to replace Duncan Magrath as chief financial officer.
Dickson will join Alfa Financial as CFO designate on 6 July, before becoming an executive director on 16 September, when Magrath, who announced his intention to retire in December, will step down from the board following the completion of its interim results process.

Dickson has serve as CFO at Cerillion, a leading provider of software solutions to the telecoms industry, since February 2022. Prior to this, he spent seven years at Videndum in a number of senior finance roles both in the UK and the US.

Chief executive Andrew Denton said: "We are delighted to welcome Andrew Dickson to Alfa. He joins Alfa at an exciting time and his broad financial knowledge and experience will help support our growth ambitions. Our thanks go to Duncan Magrath for his valuable contribution over the last six years and we wish him well for his retirement."

As of 1035 GMT, Alfa Financial shares were down 1.05% at 188.20p.
