British home improvement company Wickes Group plc said second-half like-for-like sales grew 5.3%, driven by its retail and design and installation businesses, and added that annual earnings would be within forecasts.
Revenue for the months to December 27 came in at £788m. For the full year LFL sales rose 4.9% to £1.63bn.
Retail LFL revenue rose 5.1% to £574m in the second half and 5.7 to £1.2bn for 2025.
Sales to trade professionals were up 8% year-on-year, with membership of Wickes TradePro scheme increasing 11% year-on-year to 643,000.
DIY sales were in mid-single digit growth, with volumes driven by increasing customer transactions.
Design & Installation revenue rose 6.1% on a LFL basis to £214m for the half, with Wickes reporting a positive reaction to enhancements made to its kitchen and bathroom offering. For the
Wickes said it expects adjusted pre-tax profit to be within its own compiled consensus forecast range of £46.8m-£50.7m.
