Quantum Data Energy (QDE) shares have returned to trading following the lifting of a temporary suspension by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). The suspension was triggered earlier this year when QDE’s previous auditors abruptly resigned shortly before the annual filing deadline.
Speaking to Vox Markets, CEO Pieter Krügel confirmed the appointment of a new auditor and the successful filing of annual accounts, supported by a clean audit opinion.
QDE Shares Return: Pieter Krügel Explains What Happens Next
Despite the administrative delays, Krügel emphasised that QDE’s core operations accelerated. The company reported record electricity generation at its Pyebridge asset, underscoring strong UK demand for flexible power generation. Furthermore, QDE successfully launched commercial operations at its second asset, the 7.5MW Hindlip project, delivering it on time and within budget.
Looking to Q4, QDE expects to complete construction and begin commercial production at its third project, a 5MW facility in Bordesley. Crucially, Krügel highlighted a strategic expansion to provide Behind-The-Meter power directly to data centres, capitalising on soaring energy demand in the UK tech sector.
