Andrew Rashbass

EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN

Andrew Rashbass joined Euromoney on October 1, 2015. Between 2013 and 2015 Andrew was the Chief Executive of Reuters, the news division of Thomson Reuters, the global business information group. Before joining Reuters, he spent 15 years at The Economist Group, where for the last five years he was chief executive, and before that, publisher of The Economist. Earlier in his career, he worked at Associated Newspapers, and Andersen Consulting.

Christopher Fordham

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Christopher Fordham has been Euromoney’s Managing Director since October 2012. For twelve years previous to this, he was the company’s Development Director, responsible for its acquisitions. He was also Divisional Director for many of the group’s acquired businesses such as Metal Bulletin, Gulf Publishing, Ned Davis Research and Total Derivatives. Before Euromoney, he worked at The Economist Group and then at Haymarket Publishing for over a decade, first as Publisher of Campaign magazine and subsequently as Head of Development. He has also worked as a journalist in South Africa for the Rand Daily Mail. He has an MA in History from Cambridge and an MBA from Ashridge Management College.

Colin Jones

FINANCE DIRECTOR AND CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Colin Jones is the group\'s Finance Director and Chief Operating Officer. He is also a chartered accountant. He joined the company in July 1996 and was appointed Finance Director in November 1996. During his career at Euromoney he was based in New York from 2000 to 2006. Before joining Euromoney, he spent 15 years at Price Waterhouse where his experience included audit, technology and systems, mergers & acquisitions and corporate strategy. He has a BSc in Economics & Accounting from Bristol University.

Diane Alfano

Chairman, Institutional Investor

Diane Alfano joined Institutional Investor in 1984. Ms. Alfano is a Divisional Director of Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC and a member of the Euromoney Executive Committee. In 2000, she became the first woman appointed to the Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC Board and she continues to serve as an Executive Director. Diane directly oversees the non-publishing division of Institutional Investor which includes II Forums, II Memberships, and the Investor Intelligence Network as well as two recently acquired businesses, TTI Vanguard and the Centre for Investor Education. With offices in New York, London, Hong Kong, Santa Monica and Melbourne, Institutional Investor’s non-publishing division employs 100 professionals dedicated to serving and connecting the global asset management community throughout its more than 100 exclusive face-to-face forums, roundtables and memberships as well as online through the Investor Intelligence Network. Prior to joining Institutional Investor, Diane was a Sales Account Executive with the Burroughs Corporation. She is a graduate of Tufts University in Boston where she earned a BA in Political Science and French. While at Tufts, she studied at the Institut d\'Etudes des Sciences Politiques and La Sorbonne.

Neil Osborn

GROUP PUBLISHER, EUROMONEY MAGAZINE

Neil Osborn has been a member of the Euromoney Board since 1988. He joined the group in 1983. From 2002 to June 2011 he was a member of the Board of Directors of RBC Information Systems OJSC (parent company of RBC Group until mid-2010). Neil began his media career as a reporter for the Daily Progress (Charlottesville, Virginia) in 1972. Later he transferred to the Liverpool Daily Post as a special correspondent, served as a senior editor of Institutional Investor magazine, as well as editor of the US issue of Euromoney magazine. Neil graduated from Worcester College, Oxford University.

Jane Wilkinson

MANAGING DIRECTOR, EUROMONEY LEARNING SOLUTIONS

Jane Wilkinson joined Euromoney in 2000 and was appointed to the Board in 2007. She has held various roles within the company including Divisional Director for the Institutional Investor and Hedge Fund Intelligence publishing groups, and Chief Marketing Officer for the group. She is now Divisional Director for Euromoney Learning Solutions which runs over 700 courses globally each year. Before joining Euromoney, Jane was Direct Marketing Director for IPC Media, running the direct sales operation for e-commerce, subscriptions and affinity marketing products. Earlier in her career she specialised in subscription marketing for financial newsletters and consumer magazines at Stonehart Publishing. Jane has a BA in Geography and Politics from London University.

Bashar Al-Rehany

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF BCA RESEARCH & DIVISIONAL DIRECTOR

Bashar Al-Rehany was appointed to the Euromoney Board in November of 2009 and has held the position of Chief Executive Officer of BCA Research Inc. (BCA) since joining BCA in January 2003. BCA is one of the world\'s leading independent global investment research providers. Prior to joining BCA, Bashar was President & Chief Executive Officer of Bridge Information Systems Canada Inc., an information, news and technology group that acquired Dow Jones Markets Inc. From October 1996, Bashar was President & Chief Executive Officer at Dow Jones Markets Canada Inc. Bashar spent 13 years at Reuters Holdings PLC in various sales and marketing roles until 1993 when he was made the Director of Sales and Customer Service in Canada. He holds a degree in Mathematics & Computer Science from Teesside Polytechnic, England.

Alfonso Marone

CHIEF DEVELOPMENT OFFICER & DIVISIONAL DIRECTOR

Alfonso Marone joined Euromoney in 2013 and is a member of its Executive Committee. As Chief Development Officer, his mission is to grow and, over time, help transform the company through strategic buy-outs and selective investments in digital fintech ventures. He oversees the main financial and operational aspects of corporate development including M&A strategy, deal making, governance and post-transaction integration/value enhancement. He is a Non-Executive Director of Dealogic and a Director of a number of Euromoney subsidiaries. Over the past 20 years, Alfonso has worked on a broad range of strategic and operational issues underpinning the digital convergence of media, the Internet and distribution platforms, in both B2B and B2C environments. Before Euromoney, he served as Senior Vice President & Head of International Business Development with NBC Universal, the US news and entertainment conglomerate. Previously, he was Partner & Head of Private Equity at Spectrum Strategy Consultants, a TMT advisory firm. Earlier in his career he worked for mobile multimedia operator O2 as Innovation Manager. He has published numerous thought pieces and appeared regularly as expert commentator on the international business media, including CNBC and the BBC networks. Alfonso holds an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France and a Master’s degree summa cum laude in Electronics & Communications Engineering from La Sapienza, University of Rome, Italy. He gained a specialisation in media production from UCLA, California and attended the Authentic Leadership programme at Harvard Business School.

Christopher Garnett

DIRECTOR, EUROMONEY CONFERENCES AND OF HEDGE FUND INTELLIGENCE CONFERENCES, EUROMONEY INSTITUTIONAL INVESTOR PLC

Christopher Garnett is responsible for many of the company’s financial conferences. He runs Euromoney Conferences and Hedge Fund Intelligence Conferences, as well as the company’s LatinFinance business. He has worked in various roles at Euromoney since 1988, including for much of the 1990s in the company’s book publishing arm. Between 1999 and 2002 he lived in Miami and was CEO of the group’s LatinFinance publishing and conferences – and now online – subsidiary, of which he is President. Christopher is a graduate of Manchester and Edinburgh Universities, holding BA and MSc degrees in Literature. He is a British subject, married to a Peruvian and speaks Spanish and French.

Raju Daswani

DIVISIONAL DIRECTOR, METALS, MINERALS & MINING PUBLISHING DIVISION

Raju Daswani joined Metal Bulletin plc in 1995. When the business was acquired by Euromoney in 2006, he was appointed Divisional Director for the Metals, Minerals & Mining (MMM) Publishing business and has served on Euromoney’s Executive Committee since 2008. The MMM division incorporates the brands of Metal Bulletin (est. 1913), American Metal Market (est. 1882) and Industrial Minerals and has over 180 employees located mainly in London, New York, Pittsburgh, Shanghai and Singapore. Raju has had several roles within the organisation including a four-year secondment to its New York office as Metals Group Business Development Manager, Director of Metals Research and UK Commercial Director. As Divisional Director, Raju has overseen the evolution of traditional print magazine businesses into fully digital online information services. Raju entered the metals and mining industry in 1992 at British Alcan (now part of Rio Tinto Alcan) as a Business and Marketing Analyst. Raju graduated in 1991 from the London School of Economics with a BSc degree in Economics & Finance. Raju speaks regularly at the world’s major metals and mining events and is a regular guest commentator on the markets for the BBC, CNBC and CNN.

Ben Jones

CTO, TECHNOLOGY, EUROMONEY INSTITUTIONAL INVESTOR PLC

Ben Jones joined Euromoney as Chief Technology Officer in 2011 and is a member of the Executive Committee. He is responsible for technical operations and digital delivery across the group with teams in London, New York, Hong Kong, St Petersburg and Katowice. Ben has a degree in Classics from Bristol University and an MBA from Henley Management College. Previously Ben was Head of Technology at Emap Plc, where he managed the technology for both the B2B and radio business divisions and he has also held roles as a management consultant at PriceWaterhouseCoopers and EDS.

Luke Gibson

MANAGING DIRECTOR, EUROMONEY SPECIALIST EVENTS GROUP

Luke Gibson has been with Euromoney since 2004 and is Managing Director of Euromoney’s Specialist Events Group and a member of the Executive Committee. Euromoney Specialist Events Group comprises four separate businesses that run 120 conferences in over 35 countries worldwide. Audiences range from 150 attendees to over 1000. Euromoney Seminars hosts events under its own brand and co-branded with the Airfinance, Trade Finance, Infrastructure Journal and Reactions business units of Euromoney. The Metals, Minerals and Mining events business consists of Metal Bulletin Events, American Metal Market Events and Industrial Minerals Events. The Coaltrans Conferences and Global Grain Events businesses are market leading specialist information providers in key commodities markets. Luke read law at University College London and the Inns of Court School of Law. He was called to the Bar in 1994. He joined IIR conferences in 1995 before moving to Informa Group where he stayed for eight years. At Informa, Luke developed conferences on business management themes before moving to, and ultimately running, the Finance Division paving the way for a move to Euromoney.

Rosalind Irving

DIVISIONAL DIRECTOR, CAPACITY MEDIA

Rosalind Irving joined Euromoney in 2009 and is Managing Director of TelCap as well as Divisional Director for Global Telecoms Business, the Mining Indaba which was acquired by Euromoney in July 2014, Structured Retail Products, Global Telecoms Business and Adhesion. Before Euromoney, Rosalind worked at IIR, Risk Publications and Eurofinance first as a conference producer and later as a divisional manager. Over the last 20 years she has grown events businesses in different market sectors including derivatives, treasury, energy, architecture and technology for different types of events, from training courses to large-scale annual conferences and trade exhibitions. Ros has a degree in Anthropology from the University of Durham.

John Orchard

MANAGING DIRECTOR, CAPITAL MARKETS GROUP, EUROMONEY INSTITUTIONAL INVESTOR PLC

John Orchard is responsible for much of the company’s capital markets publishing and is a member of the Executive Committee. He read German and History at UEA, Norwich, England, under the tutorship of the writer W.G. Sebald (Austerlitz, Rings of Saturn). More through happenstance than design, John took a German-speaking sales job at Euromoney Training after graduating and has remained with the company ever since. Switching to the publishing wing in 1998, John worked as Associate Publisher on Euromoney.com and subsequently at the flagship title, Euromoney, where he became Deputy Publisher. In 2006 John became Managing Director of EuroWeek, the capital markets newspaper which is now at the core of the company’s Global Capital publishing business, a news and data platform launched in March 2014 which also incorporates Asiamoney, Derivatives Week and Total Securitization. Euromoney magazine and Euromoney Indices joined John’s business group in October 2014.

Tony Shale

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, EUROMONEY INSTITUTIONAL INVESTOR ASIA

Tony Shale rejoined Euromoney in 2002 – having previously been a journalist and editor for Euromoney magazine between 1985 and 1988 – and is a member of its Executive Committee. He serves as Chief Executive Officer for Asia with responsibility for overseeing and developing the company’s business and key client relationships in the Asia Pacific region. He is also a founder and member of the Asia Advisory Board and the Asia Management Committee. Previously Tony was the founder and chairman of a number of Asia-focused financial media businesses including the Financial Intelligence Agency, INSTO, and Precinct Asia. He was also editor-in-chief of publications including Asia Risk Manager, Finance Asia, Asian Investor, Asian Debt Review and Financial Technology Asia. Earlier in his career Tony worked as an Asia-based freelance journalist for newspapers including the International Herald Tribune, the Sunday Times and the London Evening Standard. He also established a regional news and features agency in Tokyo and Hong Kong. Tony holds a single honours degree in Modern History from St Catherine’s College at Oxford University and speaks Japanese.

Danny Williams

MANAGING DIRECTOR, SPECIALIST FINANCE GROUP

Danny Williams joined Euromoney in 2006 and is a member of its Executive Committee. He serves as Managing Director for the Specialist Finance Publishing division which includes the Euromoney Insurance Group businesses, IJGlobal, Airfinance Journal, Trade Finance and FOW TradeData. Previously, Danny ran Euromoney’s Legal Media Group and Euromoney magazine. Prior to joining Euromoney, Danny was head of business development for the tax division at LexisNexis UK. He started his career in a number of journalism roles. Danny holds a first class degree from the University of Cambridge and speaks German and French.

Aloisio Parente

MANAGING DIRECTOR, CEIC DATA

In 1997, Aloisio Parente joined Internet Securities, Inc., which two years later was acquired by Euromoney. In 2007 he became Managing Director of CEIC Data, a company which Euromoney had acquired in 2005. Headquartered in Hong Kong, CEIC Data is one of the world’s leading providers of global macroeconomic and industry data. At Internet Securities, Aloisio started as Product Manager and later served as the Country Manager for Brazil, Managing Director of Asia, and Vice President of Product Development. Prior to joining Internet Securities, he co-founded a publishing business and an IT consulting firm. Aloisio has a degree in Marketing from Escola Superior de Propaganda eMarketing in Brazil.
