Shearwater (SWG)  has secured a contract worth about £1.8 million with a leading UK telecommunications operator to deliver a hardware platform and associated service engineering support.

The award has been made to the company’s Brookcourt Solutions division and will be delivered within the current financial year. The scope includes the design, supply and implementation of a resilient hardware platform, alongside ongoing engineering and support services.

The solution is intended to enhance the customer’s ability to monitor critical network performance and operational data across its infrastructure. The contract supports a key strategic monitoring requirement for the operator.

Importantly, the win reinforces Shearwater’s position as a provider of high-performance infrastructure and engineering services to tier-one telecoms customers, particularly in mission-critical environments.

Shearwater’s Chief Executive Officer Phil Higgins said: “We are delighted to have been selected to deliver this strategically important programme for a longstanding customer and one of the UK's leading telecommunications operators. This contract reflects the strength of our integrated hardware and service engineering capability, and our continued focus on delivering robust, scalable solutions for mission-critical environments. We look forward to working closely with the customer to ensure successful delivery throughout 2026.”

This is a solid mid-sized contract that plays to Shearwater’s strengths in combining hardware delivery with ongoing engineering services. While not transformational in value, it provides further evidence of repeat business with tier-one customers and underlines the group’s positioning in critical network infrastructure support, which could support continued contract flow going forward.
