Richmond Hill Resources (RHR) has engaged Critical Discoveries Ltd to lead the technical work, including historic data compilation, target generation, and drill-programme planning on the Martello gold project in Ontario, Canada.

Critical Discoveries will research all available data, including geological mapping, geochemical results, drill logs, and geophysical surveys, and convert it to modern formats suitable for integration and future exploration planning.

It will also produce maps and figures summarising key exploration results and property highlights, and analyse historical data and geophysical and geochemical trends to identify priority drill targets.

This work will then go towards providing a preliminary drill targeting plan for the maiden drill programme and for future drill programmes, with recommended collar locations and a rationale for each target.

This desktop work programme is scheduled to be completed by 31 January 2026.

“It is pleasing that external consultants are able to progress the project on such an expedited basis,” said Hamish Harris, chief executive of Richmond Hill.

“With external consultants now appointed on both Martello and the Saint Sophie copper project, there has been significant progress in a short period of time since admission, and 2026 is set to be an active year for the company.”

Richmond Hill has hit the ground running in 2026, as regards its Canadian portfolio of assets. Ongoing work at both Sant Sophie and Martello is likely to generate significant newsflow over the coming months, and against a backdrop of elevated commodity prices and significant levels of interest in mining and mining exploration. The market always enjoys drilling, and the imminent identification of drill targets at Martello will be very welcome.
