MedPal AI (MPAL) has unveiled Juno, a next-generation AI health companion designed to move beyond traditional chatbot interactions and proactively support patients throughout their healthcare journey.
The launch marks a significant upgrade to the company's technology platform. Juno is powered by Anthropic's latest Claude models for reasoning and conversation, while clinical response systems operate on dedicated DigitalOcean infrastructure following MedPal AI's migration away from Google Vertex AI.
Unlike conventional AI assistants that respond only when prompted, Juno actively monitors patient information through MedPal AI's New Health OS Portal and can initiate contact via WhatsApp and web-based messaging. The system is designed to provide health advice, triage patients and guide them through treatment pathways where appropriate.
The launch reflects the growing shift towards agentic AI - systems that can understand requests and take actions on behalf of users. MedPal AI believes this approach is particularly relevant in healthcare, where patients increasingly seek AI-powered support but often require assistance beyond information gathering alone.
Juno is integrated with MedPal AI's broader healthcare ecosystem. Where clinically appropriate, the platform can connect patients with the company's GPs for consultations and prescribing. Medication can then be dispensed through MedPal AI's robotic pharmacy infrastructure and delivered directly to patients, with Juno providing follow-up support after treatment.
OpenAI has reported that more than 40 million people use ChatGPT daily for health-related queries, highlighting growing consumer demand for AI-enabled healthcare services. MedPal AI aims to differentiate Juno by providing a pathway from initial enquiry through to treatment and follow-up care.
"The world has just watched agentic AI go mainstream, and tens of millions of people are already asking AI about their health every single day," said MedPal AI founder and chief executive Jason Drummond.
"The difference with Juno is that it does not stop at an answer. It can advise, triage, connect you to one of our GPs, have your medication dispensed by robot and shipped to your door, and then check that you are getting better. That is the whole point of Health OS. We do not just tell you what is wrong, we help to treat it."

Juno represents an important evolution of MedPal AI's Health OS strategy, moving the company beyond AI-assisted information towards AI-enabled healthcare delivery. By combining agentic AI capabilities with its existing GP network and robotic pharmacy infrastructure, MedPal AI is seeking to create a more complete digital healthcare pathway. If adoption gains traction, the launch could strengthen the group's position in the rapidly expanding market for AI-driven healthcare services.
