Harland & Wolff , the maritime engineering specialist, announced today that it has recently secured six new contracts within the defence, cruise & ferry, and commercial fabrication markets, valued at over £10 million. These projects involve routine repairs and new fabrication works to be carried out across the company's facilities in Belfast, Appledore, and Arnish, and expected to be completed over the next 12-18 months.
While the company is bound by confidentiality in disclosing certain contractual details, it can reveal that works on four of these projects are set to commence this month in Belfast. These include the fabrication of a drydock gate for a defense facility operator, repairs on a jack-up barge for offshore structure installation, and regular maintenance works on five vessels, including a product tanker and four ferries.
In Arnish, the company has been contracted to undertake additional fabrication works for an ongoing mining project, while at its Appledore facility, the company will be fabricating a frame for a prime contractor as part of its exciting ongoing defense program.

Whilst securing the longer-term FSS Programme as part of team Resolute was a major milestone for the Company, the Company must continue to rely on securing and executing smaller projects across its yards, adding to the experience and skills of the workforce.
