Gunsynd (GUN ) has returned results for recent samples taken from its Barb gold project in Canada.
In early June, Gunsynd engaged Critical Discoveries to complete the Phase 1 summer field program at Barb, targeting the Lotus and Betty Shaft areas.
Fifty-nine samples were collected across the two historic showings with grades ranging from 0.008 grams per tonne to 489 grams per tonne.
Gold-bearing mineralisation was observed at both locations with 35 samples assaying above one gram per tonne gold, 23 above five grams and three above 100 grams.
Rock samples were collected as fist-sized grab samples from locations where mineralisation was observed.
Visible gold was observed in 12 samples from Lotus, and grades ran as high as 489 grams per tonne.
Five grab samples returned values over 80 grams per tonne gold.
At Betty, grab samples returned values up to 27.2 grams per tonne
"Our interpretation has consistently been that gold mineralisation at Barb is associated with the Wanipigow Shear Zone, as outlined in our February 2026 disclosure,” said Hamish Harris, executive director of Gunsynd.
“Today's results are consistent with that geological model and further support our understanding of the property's structural controls. We look forward to integrating these results into our ongoing exploration program."

These are highly encouraging, albeit early stage, results from Barb. So far, the results match up to Gunsynd’s geological interpretation of the project and, with grades running as high as 489 grams per tonne, there’s a lot to be optimistic about. The company is clearly on the right track, but more work is needed before we can say with any certainty exactly how big the opportunity at Barb really is.
