Gunsynd(GUN), the AIM-quoted investment company, has reported the identification of 22 high-priority exploration targets across its wholly owned Falcon Lake, Greylark and Merlin projects in Canada’s Hornby Basin. The findings follow a detailed review of historical airborne electromagnetic and geophysical survey data by Southern Geoscience Consultants.

At Falcon Lake, the earlier airborne survey, conducted at a broad two-kilometre spacing, detected weak electromagnetic anomalies. The company intends to undertake a tighter-spaced survey to better define and evaluate these features. At Greylark, five conductive anomalies have been recorded in the central part of the project area. These will be investigated through geochemical sampling and, potentially, ground-based electromagnetic surveys to locate deep-seated bedrock conductors.

The Merlin project hosts multiple moderate electromagnetic conductors, several of which coincide with magnetic features. In some areas, the presence of conductive cover has limited depth penetration, prompting the company to plan further ground-based electromagnetic work to assess the underlying bedrock potential.

Gunsynd said the work programme across the three projects would combine ground-based geophysics, geological mapping and surface geochemistry to refine exploration targets ahead of any drilling. The company stressed that the objective at this stage is to build a detailed understanding of the mineral potential before committing to more capital-intensive phases of exploration.

Gunsynd’s identification of 22 targets across its Hornby Basin projects marks a decisive step from desktop analysis to active exploration. The move to ground-based surveys and mapping signals clear intent to advance the assets, with full ownership ensuring any future discoveries directly benefit shareholders. In a proven mining jurisdiction and with a growing pipeline of anomalies to investigate, the company appears well-positioned to generate meaningful results from its Canadian portfolio.
