EJF Investments (EJFI) has had a positive H126 (ended 30 June), with underlying NAV returns of 7.75% boosted to nearly 9% by positive currency movements. With the year-to-date US dollar return standing at 11% as of the end of August, the specialist debt fund looks to be on track to deliver its best annual return since 2022, buoyed by higher interest rates, a resilient US domestic economy, indirect exposure to the build-out of AI data centres and a regulatory environment that remains supportive.
