Cadence Minerals (KDNC) is to host a technical visit to its Amapá iron ore project by Wandenberg Pitaluga Filho, President of the Economic Development Agency of Amapá, Brazil.
Cadence will host in conjunction with its joint-venture partner.
The visit provides an opportunity to showcase the development pathway for the planned 5.5 million tonne integrated DR-grade iron ore operation at Amapá, including the associated rail and port upgrades.
Meetings will be introductory and non-binding and are intended only to support the State's understanding of the project's long-term scale and capital formation framework.
Meanwhile, following the completion of the prepayment offtake financing earlier this month, Cadence and its partner PBA have advanced the technical workstreams required for the environmental licensing of the Azteca plant.
The Azteca facility represents the first stage of the Amapá redevelopment strategy, providing early production capability and a platform to generate cash flow to fund the definitive feasibility study and other capital projects and subsequent phases of the project.

The redevelopment of Amapá will have a significant economic impact on the surrounding region, so it’s not surprising that some high-level officials are taking an interest. It’s good to see connections being established on this level, as the licensing process continues. There’s been significant progress at Amapá this year, and there should be plenty more in 2026.
