BrandShield (BRSD ) revealed that it has partnered with Silicon Valley-based firm, VSC, an award winning agency focused on accelerating tech brands into vertical market leaders.
The cybersecurity provider which covers solutions from brand protection to online threat hunting, said VSC will help with broad US-based communications and media relations.
It said the agency will also support global campaigns ‘in the fight against fraud, phishing scams and other digital threats with an emphasis on Covid-19 vaccine-related scams.’
Founded in 2013, BrandShield has been a leading source for detecting and hunting online brand abuse such as phishing attacks, counterfeit sales, and cases of global fraud.
Brandshield said VSC was chosen ‘based on its smart combination of public relations, content marketing, and multimedia to tell customer stories.’ VSC has worked with over 450 technology brands including, Mammoth Biosciences, Sama, Poshmark, Fastly, Tonal, Tile, Nanit, and Clearbanc, while it has earned over 100 award wins for its campaigns.

BrandShield was admitted to trading on AIM back in December 2020 via a reverse takeover of Two Shields Investment where it successfully raised £3.2m (before expenses) via a placing of, and subscription for 16,000,000 new ordinary shares at an issue price of 20p per share.
The stock was trading 4.35% higher this morning at 23.25p following the announcement.
The global cyber threat intelligence market is expected to grow rapidly, and according to MarketsandMarkets, is estimated to grow to US$12.9bn by 2023, at a CAGR of almost 20%.
BrandShield has an ‘increasing international blue-chip client base’ including Fortune 500 and FTSE 100 companies from a variety of industries including financial, pharmaceuticals, fashion, software, sports, entertainment, consumer products, industrials, online, and more.
The company highlighted that its current roster of clients includes leading brands such as VISA, Bristol Myers Squibb, Levi's, New Balance, Swisscom, KTM, amongst others.
In November, BrandShield announced a partnership with Pharmaceutical Security Institute (PSI), a not-for-profit membership organization of major pharmaceutical companies.
Pharmaceutical Security is focused on detecting and removing online threats, such as rogue pharmacies, counterfeit sales of drugs on online marketplaces, and social media phishing campaigns, with a focus on scams and counterfeits related to the COVID-19 vaccines.
